WHAT DO WE TEACH?

Our students get to experience and learn a wide range of art techniques and materials, such as oil pastel, poster paint, acrylic paint, markers, watercolour, pencil shading, colour pencils, and digital art.

This variety allows children to discover their interests and build confidence in different forms of artistic expression.

Junior

Group Age: 4 - 6 years old

Students will be introduced to the fundamental principles of art. Through guided instruction and observation, they will develop basic drawing skills and explore colouring and painting techniques.

Using mainly oil pastels and poster paints, students will practice blending methods and learn how to control contrast using a limited range of tones.

Intermediate

Group Age: 7 - 9 years old

Students will build on their skills by learning more in-depth techniques, including proportional drawing and composition, while further developing their observation skills.

Working with acrylic paints, coloured pencils, and markers, students will explore richer textures and layering techniques. They will practice creating contrast, shadows, and depth in subjects such as still life, adding complexity and richness to their artworks.

Advanced

Group Age: 10 - 12 years old

Students will focus on illustration and realistic art, using a variety of artist references to inspire their own creations and learn how to express their ideas.

Through pencil shading, they will develop control over tone and create depth in their drawings. Working with pen and ink, students practice detailed techniques such as cross-hatching and pointillism, building careful observation skills and drawing with confidence, knowing that each line is permanent.
